Old Dhaka
Old Dhaka is a photography series about the historic heart of Bangladesh, a place where the past still lives in everyday life. Through these photographs, I explore the people, streets, traditions, and spirit that make this part of the city unique.
What draws me to Old Dhaka is its human warmth. People live closely together in old buildings and narrow streets, creating strong bonds and a deep sense of community. Despite limited resources, generosity is everywhere. They care for animals, celebrate colorful festivals, share their food, and keep their traditions alive.
To me, the people of Old Dhaka are artists in their own way. Their lives, customs, and resilience create a culture rich in character and beauty. This series is my attempt to document their stories and preserve the timeless spirit of a place where history, humanity, and everyday poetry coexist.
